We specialize in every beauty service from extensions to hair color to anti-aging skin care. We also believe that is in an inherent right of every person to feel this way. We have the pleasure of being able to treat people’s souls to beauty, not just their looks. We also provide advanced education for all of our staff which include international training experiences. Every day being in business is a challenge and a series of problems. I think if you would ask any business owner of 40 years if it was a smooth road the answer would be the same. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you? – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. Our flagship salon in Hinsdale is always in a state of change, as we constantly seek to perfect our 10,000+ sq.ft. This year we aim to complete our renovation of the Wheaton location. We began with Chicago in 2016 and completed our Naperville facelift in 2017. With our new black, white and gold palette the salon will look and feel beautiful for the next 40 years. As we have been in business near 40 years it was time to modernize the brand and make the aesthetic timeless. They’re the nicest bathrooms in any salon in Chicago guaranteed! The Walton location represents the “rebrand” of Zazu Salons. Every detail is accounted for, if you don’t believe me, just come and check out our bathrooms. The whole project was a total gut which allowed us to maximize every square inch. November 28th of 2016 we relocated our salon to the glimmering space at 64 E.
By 2016, our staff had grown to over 20 and we needed a bigger space. We started with a small boutique style salon to create intimacy with our clients with 4 stylists. We opened our Chicago location in June 2012 on Superior Street. Starting with just 3 employees the company has grown today to 5 different locations with over 200 employees. My parents, Salvatore and Susan Segretto, began their dream in November 1979 in Hinsdale, IL. So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Segretto.
